Ageism with Brett's Elimination?

I admit, Harry has tons of promise, but their comments about his burnt lemon puree dominating the dish seemed elimination worthy. Brett's gravy was too thin, so he got eliminated?

Strange.

It was weird how Brett was saying he would open his pub in the country, but on the end credit write up it said he went back to being a pilot. Guess the high wages were too tempting.

i couldn't see him being able to afford his dream for a while yet. he would have had to have gone back to earn more for when he could make it a reality

Is it just me or is the "background" music too loud? Sometimes I can't hear what the chefs or contestants are saying.

I don't think so. Gravy is a really easy thing that all of the cooks should have mastered before finals week. Brett's dish was also pretty simple, which meant that everything had to be perfect to be impressive. Harry's flavors weren't balanced as well as they could have been, but he was inventive and all of his elements were done well.

It was the same thing with today's elimination: Elise made the same thing she always makes, and some of her elements weren't perfect. Harry stepped outside of the box, and while some of his elements weren't perfect either, he was more inventive.

Besides, I think we all know that the judges and producers like to misdirect people so they can pull surprises, and it's been obvious for quite some time that Elena and Matt will be the ones in the finale. I like Harry, though, so I'm glad he's made it this far.
