Not bad

Not bad ... a fun movie. Though the sound quality in parts sounded like an echo chamber - something to work on fixing for the next production. The visual effects were surpringly quite good.

I think you've hit the nail on the head with "not bad", because The Landlord is not bad - but, it's not particularly good either. It's fun, but you get the feeling like it could have been more fun - with more splatter, better gags, and better writing. I don't mean to come off as a "hater", because I'm not. I appreciate the hard work that it takes to make an independent genre picture, and I hope that people like Emil Hyde and company will continue to do so. Hopefully the process comes easier and the product gets better as their careers continue.

not bad is about the most honest review I've seen yet. You can tell they tried hard, but sometimes just trying hard isn't enough. The sound was a real distraction, and it just felt like the movie went on and on and on. It had some good parts, but the premise while fun wore through pretty quickly.

I kinda liked it. I typically don't get into these ultra-low-budget movies at all, but it was funny enough to keep me watching.

It was enjoyable. The motel scene was weird and unnecessary, though.
