7.6...what is wrong with people?
Don't get me wrong, this movie is not flawless and definetely not the best movie of all time, but 7.6...seriously? That is what I expect from one of the sixth hundred comic adaption movie when it comes to a rating...but not this movie.
This movie touches base with humanity, technology and how it affects each and everyone of us in a way that couldn't be told in a more relatable way. If it didn't happen to you, you know or heard of someone who had it happen to him/her.
The acting is absolutely top notch from each and every single actor in it. People you only saw in comedies mostly, like Jason Bateman, show a side that totally works for them in a full drama role, kinda like it did for Steve Carell back in Little Miss Sunshine or Bill Murray in Lost in Translation.
I agree that this movie prolly doesn't work for everybody...I don't see immature or life inexperienced people to really relate to much of it, but as a full grown person with both feet in life, I can hardly imagine how you couldn't relate to it in some way.
The whole thing is just topped by the perfectly fitting soundtrack throughout the whole movie. There is not one song, or track that doesn't fit the mood, or the scene absolute 100%.
I watched it a 2nd time several months after I watched it for the first time and it had the exact same impact on me as it did on the first time, which really doesn't happen a lot with movies like these.
The limited release in theatres really broke this movies credibility. I'm sure with the right advertising and a wider release this could have become a huge independend hit and any rating below 8.3ish would just seem ridiculous.
