Should this be completed with voice overs??

THE SILVER GLOBE, another film that wasn't finished, was made with inserted voice-overs that describe what happens in between the scenes. The dialogue could be re-recorded by voice-impersonators, and the script is after all intact.

What do you think about this? Should it be done?

ONLY if someone with a good idea about Clouzot's vision were to try such a thing. (Who would that be??) In the hands of a lesser filmmaker, it could easily go wrong. very wrong.
The documentary is great!

No. I'd rather see the script developed into a film by a master craftsman with a keen eye for visual and audio metaphors.

Um, Claude Chabrol *did* shoot the script in 1994. There are those who would call him a master craftsman:

Why the um and *did*? I didn't know that before and in the ordinary course of things would thank you however your post suggests something other than helpfulness.

Chabrol is a craftsman but he is not the sort of director I was thinking about when I wrote my post.
