What a great film!!

I've always associated gay films with low production value and corniness.
THIS FILM IS AMAAAAAZING!!!! Just saw it tonight!!! really really well done.
Great acting, great dialogue, and the music........FANTASTIC!!!
Very well done!!!

The music they used in the film was great. It complimented the settings and characters perfectly.

I'm about 45 minutes into it and I totally agree! That's why I came to IMDB: Why hadn't I heard of this film??!!! Though I am not French, I moved from Louisiana to the corner of Franklin and Cherokee Avenues in the heart of seedy Hollywood on my 24th birthday in 1979. Jerome's odyssey and naivete is so relatable to my experience (even down to my own naivete about auditions/headshots/etc.). And the setting IS what Hollywood is all about: The director pulls no punches there cuz the streets sure as hell ain't paved with gold. If the next 45 minutes of viewing is as charming as the the first 45, I think I just found one of my favorite gay films.
