Not all that bad

Really expected this to suck along the lines of a Kurt Angle film. But RVD's acting is surprisingly passable and the idea of a hero stuck in no man's land, while basic, is always appealing. Would have liked to see what Walter Hill or John Carpenter could have done with this film, but I like the idea of a random night out in your home town turning completely upside down, leaving no place safe to run and no one to trust.

Yeah. I thought that this movie was surprising decent. Not a bad way to kill some time.

Like watching a bunch of turnips and pumpkins trying to act. I hope the budget for this thing wasn't anymore than $16.

Yeah, it's really not. Or maybe my expectations were just really low, since most direct-to-video action movies end up very boring. This never bored me, it had a dumb-but-not-so-dumb-I-couldn't-play-along-with-it storyline, a decent sense of pacing, some good fights, and while nobody's gonna take home an Oscar, the acting wasn't that bad. RVD even admitted in the special features that he was a lot more comfortable with the fight scenes than he was delivering dialogue, but I don't think he did that bad a job. And Bautista was really good on all counts.

So, not only was I surprisingly not bored by this, I may even watch it again a few times. It was a dumb-but-likeable action flick.

It was actually a pretty good,I was going to give it 6 but Batista's fight scene towards the end was pretty cool so I will give it a 7,I am an RVD fan and I thought he did ok in this movie, but I was more impressed with Batista
