Liberals Are Way More Uptight Than Christians

Look at the PASSION OF THE CHRIST board for proof. Way more people pouting about that than having Darwin in this mediocre kid's movie.

I love how everyone gets on Christians as being the ones who complain. Meanwhile, if you Liberals had more to complain about... that is, if movies weren't created by liberals... You'd have more reasons TO complain.

But since you believe in nothing, there's nothing to fret about. Nothing gained, nothing lost.

Are you trying to claim that there are no such thing as liberal Christians?

I think you're getting your ideologies mixed up.

But isn't believing in humanity and the common good of man a lot more substantial than believing in an invisible man in the sky?

..or at least I think so lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-JphygYybU

reply

Why can't we believe in both?

Supermodels...spoiled stupid little stick figures mit poofy lips who sink only about zemselves.

How do you know he's a man, and why do you think he's invisible?

One of my very favorite new interests is watching atheists pounce on religion the instant it's mentioned or may be mentioned or may be somewhere present or may somewhere somehow be on somebody anybody's mind.

It is a funny irony that atheists proclaim their rational elitism and complete freedom from religion - while being totally and completely preoccupied with it. Heck, I'm a believer, and you spend more time dwelling on it than I do.

As to the invisible man in the sky, if you laugh, cry, otherwise emote, appreciate beauty, and know laughter, then you can thank the invisible man in the sky. He's the one who endowed humanity alone with those abilities. Of course, that some humans use those abilities to turn themselves back into monkeys is, I guess, their prerogative.

In other words: "The ability to feel emotion can only be given God. We have emotions. Therefore there must be a God."

I'd really like to see you justify the assumption that emotions must be given by God.

There are a number of logical fallacies contained in your statement - I'll leave it to you to figure out what they are.

Hint: Start off by reading up on "circular reasoning" and "begging the question." Also, read this: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Fallacy_of_assumption

I suppose on a clear day you can see the class struggle from here

reply

Well you're right there. Not religious myself, but the atheist 'community' seriously boil my piss. The problem is that many (not all) of them are rather stupid, rather insecure people who like to get into fights with religious people because it's essentually an impossible argument to lose, which means they tend to trot out the same tiresome arguements over and over again at zero provocation. Their general lack of self-awareness is rather nicely encapsulated by the "there's probably no God, so stop worrying and enjoy your life" poster campaign from a few years back, perhaps they should take their own advice there.

And the reason they do has nothing to do with inflamatory posts like this one you made where you insult and mock them?

How do you know he's a man

If he wasn't, he wouldn't be referred to as a father throughout the bible, nor would he make man in his image first instead of woman

and why do you think he's invisible

No one seems to see him, ever, except one person who may have saw a hand.

As to the invisible man in the sky, if you laugh, cry, otherwise emote, appreciate beauty, and know laughter, then you can thank the invisible man in the sky. He's the one who endowed humanity alone with those abilities.

And your evidence, without claiming things about your religion, is what?

Of course, that some humans use those abilities to turn themselves back into monkeys is, I guess, their prerogative.

Nice insult, Christian love at it's finest

For the unenlightened, "imaginary friend" is how atheists refer to our dear God. We only hope for their sake that God has a sense of humor.

And while I'm at it, I have to laugh. Who's really the nut? The person who believes in the imaginary friend? Or the person who joins a movement to oppose the imaginary friend.

Perhaps if we send them off in another direction, like, say a "Just Say No to Dragons" movement.

reply

I'll join the Say No to Dragons movement as soon as dragon-based laws are passed, or when major public figures say school violence is caused by not talking about dragons in class, or when people cite a dragon's opinion as a reason to oppose equal rights.

reply

Ooops. Wait. I think we've found our nut.

While for some religion and politics seem to hand in hand while others, try to still believe in their Faith while holding on to the older values of the older Democrat society, and not the current democrat-liberal agenda which seems to destroying the background of the country and taking tons of small businesses and churches along with the rest of the country. Yeah, I'm Christian and understand "God" is not just someone "in the sky". I believe in a lot in things, and put alot of trust in Faith, but I'm not here to really "spread" that exactly, but more that I'm still open to other opportunities, like the possibility we're NOT alone in the universe, the paranormal IS around us, and an obvious revelation some people need to get out of thier little comfort zones, get their heads up, and think about putting others first not being so selfish and realizing... "hey there IS a better to way to live than how I've been grown up, living off hate, spreading hatred, attitude, and helping make cursing the main language, there CAN be civility in this world, and it CAN be found." And you don't have to believe in God to do it either, (it helps), but you don't have to BE 'saved' just make things better for you and those around you, by not expecting everyone to do everything FOR you, but also being apart of the solution and doing it, and not being another number among the masses. Don't BE a stereotype, break the mold. Smile more, the whole nine yards, etc. etc. There's always a better way... some people just need better direction than what their parents, (or parent) gave them, and that's another issue I didn't mean to bring to the table.

Ah, leave it to the uneducated conservatives to start a troll thread.

Liberals are able to have sex and masturbate without believing it will lead to eternal torment so the OP is quite wrong.

Exactly, between the liberals and conservatives I've met the liberals have been FAR more relaxed.. as far as Republicans and Democrats well, I think they should all be fired.

..or at least I think so lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-JphygYybU

reply

So, you're comparing Liberals to gorillas? Like they both have the same impulses but don't fret about excess? Maybe I missed something in your comment.

reply

I love it when the self-identified enlightened display how unenlightened they are.

reply

It's quite obvious the OP is both unintelligent and a conservative. Or possibly a troll making the group he's representing look worse than it already does.

reply

I'm going to resurrect from kindergarten the "it takes one to know one" response to your "troll" remark. It's been my experience that trolls know themselves well, but others not at all.

reply

What is a Liberal? Charles Darwin was a theology student. He wanted the Bible to be right but the evidence was against it.

reply

The Darwin character in this film hasn't even considered the possibility of evolution yet.

reply

What about Liberal Christians? Atheists mebbe?

reply

Big difference: This movie was good. Passion Of The Christ was exploitative *beep* Also, don't you have a Tea Party rally to go to?

A Tea Party reference? In a film review?

Mark Six-Shooter Exhibit A in the self-styled "progressive" genre. So steeped in their own reactionary, inbred melancholy that they've become unwitting parodies of themselves. The react like a comic writer would have them react if the writer was satirizing "progressives."

reply

Film review? What part of that made you think I was writing a film review? I just said that Passion Of The Christ is a *beep* movie made by an antisemitic nutjob. And, are you suggesting the Tea Party is NOT commonly aligned with the Republican agenda?

reply

What I was doing was mocking your inability to process a world-view, a grassroots political movement, a from-the-ground-up show of enthusiasm by ordinary American citizens . . . . whose chief offense is that they disagree with you. As a Democrat, I cringe any time I see someone mocking a movement as genuine and sincere as the Tea Party. Where is the Democrats' similar movement? Occupy?

Give me a break.

reply

Sincerity does not make up for ignorance.

reply

Yeah, I know. Kind of like the evident sincerity in your post. Glad you're into self-reflection, and pleasantly surprised that you see yourself in the ignorance you attribute to others.

So, in summary: "I'm rubber, you're glue"?

Oh, and if any bigoted christian becomes educated enough to make a movie, they can feel free to fill it with their illogical *beep*

In the meantime, shut the *beep* up.
