I'm late but, I watched The Pirates! Band of Misfits for the first time. It was more fun that Chicken Run and almost as fun as Flushed Away. Kudos to Aardman and Sony Pictures for producing a cost effective film that made a modest profit and did not loose money. Flushed Away was the highest grossing Aardman production ever but Dreamworks sank way too much money into the production, trying to produce it with computer animation instead of claymation.

Flushed Away was the most visually dazzling of all the Aardman movies and it had the strongest story while immersing the audience in zaniness. But, The Pirates! Band of Misfits was the most impressive claymation production ever and it used some digital compositing and CGI visual effects. So I'm glad to see Aardman go back to claymation, doing it better than ever, and making money instead of losing money.
