Anyone else see this film because of Martin Freeman?

I did, and because its Aardman films.I could see long suffering John Watson-ism in several scenes

Not forgetting Brian Blessed, Brendan Gleeson and David Tennant either who were all brilliant!

You went to see an animated film because of one person doing a voice in it?

That's a bit sad.

reply

I will see it because it's got David Tennant's voice although I also like many of the other actors who are voicing characters. I don't think it's odd to like an actor's voice. (I sat through How to Train Your Dragon for a hint of David's voice. I think he had one friggin' line.) I just wish the trailer had featured even a hint of David Tennant's beautiful accent.

I was actually really surprised how much martin freemans character was in it. Everyone got a lot of lines. Though i still wanted more lenny henry.

Martin Freeman is a bland actor with a bland voice and he played a bland character in a fairly bland film.

David Tennant first, then Martin Freeman for me.

I recognized Martin's voice halfway through.

The first reason for me was David Tennant, but Martin Freeman was certainly a bonus in my mind. And, enjoying all aspects of an actor's catalogue of work is NOT sad! For me personally, I've learned about some really great stories, great people and historical events thanks to such habits. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise!
