Edgar Allen Poe Reference

When the "shadowy figure" kidnapped the dodo, it seemed to be a clear reference to Murders in the Rue Morgue with an ape dressed as a man committing crimes and leaping across the rooftops. Then later, Darwin's house collapses just like The Fall of the House of Usher. Thought these were pretty cool touches.

Did anyone notice any others?

I did and just came to the boards to see if I was the only one. Thanks for posting.

Yes! Didn't think of the Usher reference but definitely the Rue Morgue one

Those were the only ones I spotted, Dr_R. I replayed the sequence, looking for a raven, or a beating heart under the floorboards, but didn't see any! ;-)

But I'm sure I'll re-watch it soon, because there's sure to be a lot I missed.

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.
