ok why the sudden dubbing for david belle?

i mean was it really hard to understand him during filming?

Read the trivia section.

Nothing in trivia about it.

idiot

That was one of the main reasons I did not enjoy the movie.
When I heard him speak and Vin Diesel came trough his mouth I was like WTF...
They should have chosen someone with a less deep voice.

What the *beep* are notaries man?

reply

I would of like it if David Belle spoke French his native language and only English in certain scenes. I love the District movies. Thought the remake was ok, but I honest think it would of been better if Luc Besson decided to do a third movie instead of a remake.

reply

ok....why would he have spoken french to any of these Detroit slugs?

reply

I heard it was because his accent was too thick and it was difficult to understand him.

reply

and here i was thinking that wow he speaks english very well!

reply

Same. But I was thinking the whole time, 'is that really his voice?'.

reply

I read something about wanting 'authenticity' but instead the one remaining quality that this garbage remake could've had was removed.

David Belle can indeed speak English as you can watch on the interview at YouTube and it's perfectly understandable. Damn shame they didn't let him speak in English because the dub voice just sounds weird and off.

reply

The worst part was that the dubbed voice didn't match him at all.

I kept trying to match his mouth with the voice every time he "spoke". It was ridiculous.

reply

Not surprised he was dubbed. His English is very heavy accented.

It's that man again!!
