major plotholes about the bomb

first of all why not simply let the bomb go off when the timer hits zero? that would be so easy. Why send in an undercover cop to punch in a detonation code wich he thinks is the disarming code at the chance of him discovering all this (wich happened btw). Was the Major stoned when he tought up this plan?

Even if thats to easy why not just detonate the bomb remotely they had it on satelite they could have easily added such an addon to the bomb. That way as soon as it enters the brick mansion all the major had to do was push a button and BOOM great succes would Borat say.

Then the major doesn't rly gives a *beep* the bomb is planted on a rocket aimed at his city and even then he wouldn't pay the randsom All the badguy/drugdealer had to do wash launch it and the rocket would explode and make the bomb go off anyway regardless the detonation code or timer.

Wich takes me to the next part the bad drugdealer guy was willing to detonate it we he litteraly pushes the button but it doesnt fire because damien/Paul Walker shot the remote controller. Just minutes after that he gives us a speech about not wanting to kill millions of innocent people yet minutes ago he was willing to do so.

Also they say they couldn't get drones or anything to prevent the rich part of the city to be destroyed. Thats utterly *beep* on any major threat the army can react and precice bomb the rocket or use drones on it 48 minutes is enough time to make a phonecall and set these things in motion.

The answer to all of your legitimate questions is as follows: Bad script.

also for a good movie (not a great one) plot holes is totally fine.
thanks for pointing all that out though.

If the bomb went off automatically, there would've been the risk of Tremaine just hiding it somewhere in the city. The mayor's plan ensured the bomb would go off in Brick Mansions only.
