Season 5 Episode 3 The Lost Child

Would anyone happen to know who is playing the guitar in the scene, about 20 minutes in, where Bacchus goes to the seaside in search of lost baby? I have an idea, but I can't find it anywhere in the credits.

Did you check the soundtrack listing here on imdb?

PS: If you haven't heard Sandy Denny's version of "Who Knows Where the Time Goes", you're in for a treat.

Thanks for responding, Helena. I haven't found out who that guitar player is yet, but I'm still looking. I first heard it on Netflix, but the youtube version blanks out any music. It may have been background music, rather than a song, but I appreciate you making me aware of the song list. I am familiar with Sandy Denny and Fairport Convention. What a beautiful voice and one of my favorites. I think I first heard that version about 40? years ago or so. I prefer her version over any others I've heard. Richard Thompson is also one of my favorites.
I love all the music on George Gently. I wish Netflix still offered it. What a great show!
Cheers...Robin

Nice to meet another fan. :)

My public library, in the US, has at least 7 series of George Gently on DVD; have you checked yours? Also, perhaps ask a librarian -- they often have great ideas about accessing hard-to-find info.

Tho tunefind had no listings for George Gently, it is a useful site sometimes, for future ref: http://www.tunefind.com/

If you don't find an answer, please pm me periodically; I will borrow Series 5 from my library and get back to you. My schedule is weird, so I won't be able to do it right away, but if you remind me (and you will have to, more than once), I'll do it. Happy to do it -- I want to see that ep again, and the bloodhound in me wants to find the answer!
