the Wolverine and the Xmen movies seem to contain great adult storylines yet Ironman, Thor, Avengers movies seem made for kids. kinda sucks that marvel can't make all their movies for adults

They're good with the X-Men movies when they give someone with a good vision power (like Vaughn or Singer or Goldman) but when they feel nervous about something they feel the need to act with more power than the should and affect the film negatively (a la Fant4stic and X-Origins Wolverine). This is where they differ from Marvel as everything from Marvel Studios is Feigie stamped and feels very similar whether it's a Thor or Ant-Man movie. I personally prefer the way Fox has handled X-Men (not so much the rest) but Mavel Studios had done something previously unprecedented and should get the props where they are due.

It's stupid how any film with low key lighting is 'for adults'. Iron Man and Civil War have much darker themes than the majority of the X-Men films. I'd rate no X-Men film above an 8, except perhaps First Class, whereas three MCU films have a 9/10. This series, however, does have five 8/10 films, however, which is half of their films. The MCU is all over the he place in terms of their outings, but seem to have had an overall improvement since the Dark World, with nothing being below a 7.
