In the "well"

Where he was imprisioned....how did he get there in the first place?

reply

There were other prisoners of war but they were inside a prison hut/structure. Maybe the well is some sort of isolation cell, for prisoners who may have done something that might incite the other prisoners to escape or to sabotage the place? Maybe that was why Wolverine was there?

reply

Well, I find the way he fought throughout this movie and couldn't be killed, how in the hell was he captured to be put in the well or any other place?

reply

He can still be knocked unconscious, or haven't you seen Xmen, X2, and Xmen Origins: Wolverine? Use your imagination just a little bit.

No, absolutely not a fan. The movie came with my 4K television set on a hard drive, with a couple of other movies. That was the only reason I watched it when there was nothing of importance that day. I just thought, a guy that has about 50 arrows or so in his back, could never be knocked unconscious. Just goes to show how dumb these movies are...more for juveniles who eat this crap up.

Whatever wound he takes, whether it be a hit to the head or an arrow in the back, does not automatically heal. A hit to the head can knock him out but he will heal within a few seconds and be back up on his feet. If someone acts quickly enough he can be restrained in that time.

Similarly, he can be taken down briefly by a bullet to the heart or head. Do you remember when he pulled the bug out of his heart? Do you remember how he flat lined? All someone really had to do to take him down in shoot him the heart and, if they need more time, keep shooting him in the heart until they have time to restrain him.

He was at war so it's not difficult for him to be overcome. He has the advantage when those he is fighting don't know about his power because they'll make the mistake of leaving him alone once he goes down. However, once that is no longer the case, he has a potential problem on his hands if he's in a situation where he's outnumbered against a bunch of armed soldiers.

It's exactly like the arrow situation. Because they outnumbered him greatly they had him. They used Viper's poison arrow to seal the deal because it was easy, but they didn't actually need it. He was in the process of going down from their normal efforts and thus it would have been possible to restrain him on their own.

OK, makes sense.  In Xmen 2, Logan got shot in the head and was knocked unconscious. And this was with his adamantium coated skeleton. In the first Xmen, Sabertooth knocked a tree down while he was driving down the road and the collision made Logan fly through the windsheild. He was dazed, then Sabertooth slammed the hell out of him and he landed on the hood, knocked unconscious for enough time for Cyclops and Storm to get him back to the mansion. During WWII, Logan did not have the adamantium over his skeleton. That happened when he volunteered for the Weapon X program in the 1980s. So it makes sense that he could be knocked unconscious and captured, though probably from being too close to a blast of artillery or something like that.

I think they realized how dangerous he was with his claws and regenerative healing, so they decided to imprison him in a "well" that he couldn't break free from without help from the outside.
