Absolutely brilliant !!!

From start to finish this was superb drama. Timothy Spall excelled from start to finish, which comes as no surprise at all. Hats off to Bobby Ball and Frances Barber - they were fantastic too. It had everything... drama, comedy, emotion, and how fabulous to see Timothy Spall in the last minute of the programme. Marvellous ending.

this just played on TV here in New Zealand, and it is the type of TV movie made by the British I admire.
Good on all levels. Great acting. Interesting location (wonder where that is?), and Amy was pretty :)

Just saw it in NZ as well. I really liked it, I'm glad I didn't watch Harry Potter over on Sky Movies tonight instead (seen it about a million times as it is). I really liked the ending, I was hope Georgie and Amy would see each other again.

This post will be a blast from the past! I couldn't agree more, it was a brilliant drama. I love things that are set in the North. Timothy Spall is always a pleasure to watch, he is one of my favourite actors in the world. He shows such humanity in alll the roles he does. Bobby Ball was a revelation and the rest of the cast were wonderful. I found the story so moving that I cried at the end. I remember seeing Barry who played Big Brian in his own documentary.
