Nudist resorts require a visitor or a new member to immediately disrobe and check their clothes in at the gate. Entirely and totally untrue.

This was a light comedy not a documentary. Maybe that's what you should have learned.
shareNot that long ago, nudity was required as you entered the front gate. Now they are getting more C/O, and because of that, resorts are on the decline in the US.
shareIn my opinion, nudists resorts should go back to the old ways of requiring nudity. What's the point otherwise? Clothing optional makes no sense to me. You can wear your clothes everywhere in the outside world but when you come to a nudist resort, you are expected to conform to their ways.

It is just a fictional nudist resort in a comedic film. I think that scene makes for a pretty hilarious moment. Besides, the resort staff in the movie lets the visitors wrap up in towels for their initial resort tour. Of course, they stick out like sore thumbs. :D
