No kiss between Vex and Mark?

Not even a hug, or any kind of chemistry moment. Boring. No, let's hold hands like we've already been together for a long time. I get that it was a statement of his intentions, but when someone (like vex) have waited for his dream to come true, and it finally does, didn't he just wanna fall in his arms? :)

They could've held hands fifteen years later in the bar, that would've been really cute! If women can sleep with each other on this show, why can't men at least get some kind of equal romance treatment?

UGH I totally agree.
I've been waiting for that kiss to finally happen and then nothing.

That was weird. On a show with tons of women kissing, you'd think the viewers shouldn't have any problems with guys kissing so why no kiss there.

Though I'm kind of glad they didn't. Mark always seemed straight to me plus he looks so much younger than Vex so I only wanted them to stay friends.

Considering that there was absolutely nothing in any episode to indicate that Mark was bisexual, I thought his suddenly "choosing Gay" came out of the blue. *

But hey! At least you got Vex's Oracle-created fantasy where he got a b.j. from Mark.

* (The notion that someone can "choose" to be homosexual or bisexual -- that it is not a natural orientation from the moment you were created -- is a right-wing homophobic dream come true.)

reply

The thing is I don't know if Mark likes Vex. Vex has feelings for mark after the illusion, but I'm also not sure if Vex is full tilt on Mark either.

That relationship was not developed enough for there to be a kiss, IMO.

I had forgotten about the Vex dream sequence so I actually had no clue what was going on in that scene. I was thinking why are they holding hands... I don't think there was adequate development for them as a couple. Even though they held hands I really didn't even realize that signified them becoming a couple but I also watched the first half of 5 months ago so didn't remember any buildup to it.

Personally i feel like ebeali above, exept Vex dream fantasy, nothing pointed out to Mark having anything but friendship and a big bro feeling for Vex. I tough the holding hand thing was weird and out of place, so if they kissed i would had been like "wtf...." Not because guy homosexuality is wrong, but just because there was no build up, Mark always been shown as Straight, and it would had just been weird..

I think they purposely did it this way to satisfy both sides (the ones who wanted to see them as friends, and the ones who wanted to see them together). Its kinda like "to your interpretation"

Alice is the worst character of all time, she need to die in the last movie. Chris/Jill are RE !!!

I was surprised at the abruptness that Mark and Vex became a couple as well (we'd had no indications that Mark was anything but straight, previously). But after it seemed to be indicated, I was disappointed that 'Vark' didn't get more of a moment than the handclasp in the finale.
