Deaf Couple
Are the deaf couple deaf in real life? I haven't seen them in anything before so I'm not sure. Good movie.

shareNo they are not. And that interpreter is not a real interpreter. I am a deaf man myself and deaf people do not talk like that in ASL (American Sign Language) even though I did understand them for the most part.
Here you can see that Trista Robinson is hearing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQz08SGQ9OE
She is sooo cute and sexy as hell tho.
As for the man who played the deaf man in that movie here's a quote from the director:
T. Arthur Cottam is a director friend of mine who I’d seen act in his own film. He learned sign language from scratch for the film and got so good because of his dedication that he ended up being able to sign improvise. I think Trista Robinson who plays the Deaf Female is going to be a huge star.
The clip doesn't actually prove that she can hear. Someone could be signing the questions to her, or she could be reading them on a screen, etc. She certainly seems to have that stereotypical "deaf" voice when she speaks during the interview, and is very, very different from how she sounds / speaks her lines in the film clip.
I'm not saying she is deaf, I have no idea.
Her natural voice in the interview is very sexy though.
At the point where she talks to the cripple guy about the angels she talks different than in the interview.
To be honest, I don't know any deaf people myself so hope I don't offend any, but I believe the first way is the real way as it is most often is displayed that way in movies and or shows when deaf people talk.
Also,
Her natural voice in the interview is very sexy though.
