Fictionalized version of...

Based on press and the filmmakers' description, it sounds like it could only be the Replacements.

I long thought about trying to do a Replacements film (non-fiction). It's a great story, with great music from the last time the music scene meant a damned thing.

Best of luck, Alex Steyermark! You've set the bar pretty high for yourself.

One foot in the door, the other one in the gutter...

it's a movie about a fictional band called "The Fingers" whose trying to make a name for themselves in the 1980s punk scene... It's a comedy... I worked on the set a couple days. I think it's going to turn out great!

reply

Did you see Allison Scagliotti when you were on the set? She is my favorite actress of all time!

reply

I did, but just in passing. I was around Kyle Gallner, Tania Raymonde & Adam Herschman more. My first (out of two) day I worked was Allison's last day.

Thanks for the reply. I don't want to sound creepy/stalkerish or anything, but what was she like? We are the same age, and when I sent her a fan letter she sent me three personalized autographs back. She seems to be a very nice person. I am VERY jealous of you right now!

By the way, is there any more information you can give us on the film? There isn’t much material online.

reply

what!? kyle gallner? for real.

You've got to be the luckiest person in the whole world! Forget what the girl was like, tell me all about him. In detail.... with pictures.

reply

Kyle was super quiet and real tiny! He plays a musician in the movie, but he can really sing and play guitar... I fetched some McDonald's for him. That's all I know since I only worked on the movie 2 days (once as an extra, once as a Production Assistant.)

As for the girl, I didn't meet her... just passed by.

reply

So lucky! Thanks

She's not your friend, she's just someone you use to feel better about yourself.

How'd you get the opportunity to do that? I'm a memphian, born and raised, I just found out about the movie on Star and Micey's facebook page

reply

I'm super excited for this.
The musical possibilities alone make it seem like it has to be at least decent.
Also, Scagliotti, Gallner and Himelstein? Amazing possibilities.
Zombie, that's awesome that you got to be a PA. Even though they're often unappreciated and overlooked, it seems like being a PA around a cast like that must be a fun experience.
Any interaction with Himelstein?

I have a tendency to drink, thus the typos. And word usage like thus.

Just saw this! Yes he did a comedy act for us the one night I was a PA! Good stuff! He was super funny too. Btw, you can now get this on iTunes!!!
