this is hands down one of the best documentaries I've seen. I'm so surprised this has not been widely viewed, hopefully netflix will help. Aside from the human drama and uplifting/tragic profiles and nice examination of social policies that are at play, it's just beautifully shot and well paced. I hope everyone sees it. Next time you hear someone say: nyeaah dont give homeless money they are just lazy and other "they've violated their end of the social contract" arguments...remember this film.

Another one you may want to check out if you haven't already seen it, although it's quite old and came out the year I turned 8 in '84, it's called "Streetwise":

You'll like "Streetwise", there is some tragic elements to it, but I'm not going to tell you what they are, as I don't want to ruin it for you.
