Sadly overlooked film

Great slice-of-life film.

I'm not sure if the main actors were non-professionals, but IMDB doesn't list any other movies for them other than a documentary with "Patti" and Walter.
Characters having the same first name as actors are often indicative of non-pro performances.

Apparently the directors made a documentary of a circus performer and her family, and in this, their first fiction film, they used some of the people in that documentary.

The ending, with the farewell party, then Patti holding A(s)ia with a look of "what will the future hold?" on her face was a beautiful, poignant ending.
