cute movie that's not supposed to be taken seriously

All the little details worked. Cute kid getting thrown into an unknown environment. What sets him apart is what helps him enter the social microcosm. His equally out-of-place friend make a cool duo. It's predictable but easy going. Yes, a lighthearted nod to Wes Anderson. I really like the main actor. Good casting.
