Honestly didnt recognize Sharon Stone..

..threw up my drink when credits rolled and saw that Mom was played by *beep*ing SHARON STONE. What the hell!!! I still couldn't believe it and replayed the movie's Mom scenes and there she was! OMFG!!!
On a side note - I never recognized Debi Mazar either.
Dear God, NO!!

I didn't pay attention during the credits, and after reading your post I couldn't believe it and had to look at the cast list and click her name to be convinced. I would never in a million years have guessed that that was her.

I just went back to the closing scene when they both face each other at the door and if you look at her facial features you can see a resemblance to Sharon Stone but what a job they did in makeup and she also looks rather thin also.

But...Then I remembered that Sharon, like me, is getting old. She will be 56 in March so not all that is makeup but then I looked at the trailer for Border Run which was filmed right before Lovelace and she looks more like 40ish than even 56.

Really? I recognized Sharon right away and as for Debi, how could you not recognize her?!

I really like your car Mrs. Larusso!

reply

I recognized Debi by her voice first. As for Sharon Stone, I kept saying to myself, "Who is this terrible actress?". Lol.

reply

I knew the actress playing the mom was well known but I couldn't place her. I was really surprised when I saw the credits!

reply

I have to admit, the whole time I thought it was Madonna. Didn't know it was Sharon Stone until the end credits.

"She's, like, a biscuit older than me..."

reply

I recognized Debi Mazar right away from her voice but as for Dorothy, I thought she was portrayed by Wendy Malik. Although it did not look like her, several times I thought it had to be Wendy because of the voice. How wrong was I?

I don't have to show you any stinking badges!

reply

they did a really good job making her believable as her character.

my favorite was hank azaria… that hair made me laugh out loud!!

Ya, she like 150 now, and looks NOTHING like she used to.

In addition to Sharon Stone, I find Adam Brody, Wes Bentley, Chloë Sevigny and even James Franco barely recognizabe too. That might largely be due to the hair styles of that period.

reply

Same here, only I didn't wait till the end of the film. Took me about 5 minutes until I realised who it was.

Ashmi any question

reply
