It will be interesting to see how they use the character of Isamu Noguchi for whom a whole movie of his life could be made.
It also seems odd entrusting such a large role top a virtual unknown who does not even share being half Japanese like the character that he has been cast to play.
What is with Hollywood these days? They can seem to find half Asian actresses to play any role, but they have trouble finding Asian/ or half Asian men? They keep claiming that Asian men don't have the appeal, but how would you know? It's never really been proven. Many women find Asian men shy but not unattractive. I know the director is Japanese, but these days the producers or somebody else calls the shots. And sadly, they don't make good casting decisions. No dis-repect to the actor who is playing Isamu, I wish him nothing but success.

The movie doesn't show Isamu past this young man stage. The actor they cast looked a LOT like the young man in this photo.
