Terrible film.

Good acting...interesting concepts...but terrible story, terrible terrible directing and terrible writing. Wow what a cheap looking mess. I mean, was it filmed on an iPhone?

However i did crack up at the failed attempt at the threesome. I am str8 so I dont know how it will be like to have sex with two other men, but I am pretty sure it would be as awkward as it was shown in this film. Regardless if it is a man with two women, or a woman with two men or three women, in all likelihood it probably wont be as smooth as they show in a typical Hollywood film or p0rno.

Actually it is good story and bad acting.

I agree with this assessment. The way some of the lines are delivered, especially by "gordito," you'd think they're reading them off cue cards with no rehearsal.

I was expecting this to be a lot more funny and more entertaining. I found it dull and cliched. The story was good, but everything just seemed so random. I want to add a bowling scene. Let's just throw it here for something to do. Also, I get that the old guy wanted Tyler, but can't you catch on, after three interrupted attempts, what is making him upset. Also, I feel like another poster felt, why were there so many skinny bears. I am not 100 % filled in on the bear community, but Bear Cub did a lot better job portraying them.

First of all, the "bear" community is made up of all types. Hence the many terms used within the community: bears, cubs, otters, daddies, muscle bears, leather bears, chubs, chasers, admirers, etc. And yes, they were ALL represented here.

The common factor is body hair or at least facial hair (unless you're a chaser), and only most commonly - but not always - a larger frame. But being a bear is really less of a body image and more a lifestyle (rugged, outdoorsy) and sometimes just a frame of mind, a way of life or even a fashion style - being a more rugged dresser; denim, leather, lumberjack type - "bear drag," as it was called in the movie.

Secondly, the bowling thing was not all that random. Because of our stature, bowling is a common interest among bears, and in most cities we bears have our own leagues, just as most also have a softball league, darting tournaments and rodeos.

As for Roger ("the old guy"), if you pay attention, his conflict is mirrored in Tyler's conflict. Just like Tyler said, it's one thing to come out of the closet in the first place. But admitting you have a preference for those completely unlike you, those who are outside your "circle" is just like coming out of the closet a second time.

And that relates to the crappy plot of this film, how?

Tried to watch this tonight and have to agree with the original poster. It was TERRIBLE.

I watched this film expecting something like Cachorro... and even though I didnt really like that film, it was light years better than this. BearCity's production values were nil, the acting was ghastly, the script... well what script?
