Gen Y, why oh why?

First of all, Sean Micallef is hilarious as host and Amanda Keller and Charlie Pickering are good as team captains - they're entertaining but don't hog the spotlight, and they actually play the game and help the guest answer questions. But my god, who is this Josh Thomas clown? I've noticed a few people have complaints about him here and I too have some problems with the guy representing my generation:

1. He says that he doesn't know anything about sci-fi (inc. star wars) and there have been other important pop culture references that he has not got either. He looks like a nerd but isn't one, so he's essentially just built up a false 'geek chic'/'lovable loser' image with nothing to base it on.

2. He takes too long to answer questions; "erm should I answer it? Do you know it? I don't know...should I answer it? Do you want to?" etc. For me that is so annoying when watching a quiz/game show (especially when I want to hear the answer). It must piss the others off too, how many times has Micallef passed the question to the other teams and they've answered it straight away, sometimes even with a short amusing comment?

3. Lastly, the guy is too loud and hyper, he's always crawling on the table, moaning and interrupting people, even the camera man gets confused. Watching a show where the camera is panning quickly and having to constantly change shots, and where some guy is calling out from off camera while people in the shot try to speak does not make for entertaining viewing on a weekday night - too confusing, hectic and difficult to follow.

I don't think he needs to be replaced though - I'd be too worried about who they'd replace him with, probably someone attached to Roving Enterprises ... *shiver* Ryan Shelton *shiver*. Anyway, he just needs to calm down a bit and stop trying to be the centre of attention. I mean the whole lack of knowledge he has about any decent pop culture is actually quite reflective of his generation - most of Gen Y no *beep* all about actual important stuff. I was born in '89 but have more interest in the Gen X stuff.

He is immature isn't he? But he's the clown of the show, so he'll stay. Oh, please don't replace him with Ryan Shelton. Anyone from Gen Y is expected to behave all kooky and outrageous.

Too many dicks on the dance floor. Give me some ladyspace. TFOTC.
