Anne Dorval left me speechless

I was blown away by Mommy when I saw it, despite the bumps, bruises, warts, what have you, but I love it's ode to pop culture, while telling a great well-known story. Thankfully, I had not seen this film first, for I'd have had such expectations, they'd never be reached. I Killed My Mother is a near perfect film and while I only glanced at some of the negative comments, the constant theme was that it didn't tell enough.

In 97 minutes the film reveals
The boys sexuality, his confusion, his absolute undying love for his mother, his need for someone to understand him who isn't his mother and doesn't have to be his father, his finding his second true love (if you don't get this, you didn't get the film), his ways of dealing with adversity and his keen sense to learn from it quickly, because he "isn't like others" and then we see a mother, whose desire to be human, to have her own life and happiness is always secondary to her love for her son.

How many movies tell us this "little" in 150 minutes?
