Favourite moment?

I was wondering what everyone's favourite part of the film was?

For me the sequence when Senna wins the Brazilian Grand Prix is the stand out moment of the film. The sheer determination, the joy of Senna when he wins the race and that wonderful moment when his on the podium trying to lift the trophy but can't find the strength to do it. Everything about that scene made me smile so much.

Weirdly I kind of enjoyed his deliberate crash into Prost to win the title at Suzuka. I thought it a poignant and poetic reflection on formula 1 that despite their combined genius this is what all the money and politics had led them to.

Everything is amazing and nobody is happy http://tinyurl.com/y8syv3b

This. Definitely this. Senna's expressions afterward and his "It's not a bad feeling to win" created an interesting dynamic of conflicting thoughts and emotions.

I loved the end credits. The music and lighthearted montage of clips brought a cheery and very cool end to what was a very tense and serious film.

Everyone in the cinema stayed through the end credits both times I saw it.

Probably at Belgium '92 when Senna stop his race, jumped out of his car and tried to help Erik Comas after his accident. Just showed what an incredible human being he was.

"I like him, he says okie dokie"

wasn't the actual race it was during a free practice.

Favourite moment for me would be arguing with the FIA in the press conference and then getting all the drivers to agree with him regarding the run off areas.

There were many though - winning the Brazilian GP would be another.

Amazing film in every way

Suzuka and the events following Prost hitting him during the chicane.

Getting the car going again, driving into the pits and then doing what he needed to secure the victory and provisionally the World Championship.

It set up the events with the stewards and Prost perfectly and then of course set up the following year amazingly.

Just a fantastic bit of history I hadn't heard about. (I always enjoyed the next year Suzuka first corner because I knew about some of the controversies that year like where pole was on the grid but now I have even more context to make it better.)

When Nelson Piquet stood up for Ayrton during that drivers meeting. It gave Ayrton a chance to express how he felt about the situation (he walked out the meeting) and a chance for Prost to finally show he was embarrased by what he had done.

That was surprising. The two did not get along at all. I don't think Nelson got along with many people though so it could have been Piquet enjoying a chance to stick the boot in to Prost/Balestre or whoever.

But Nelson's ire at the absurdity of what happened does seem genuine enough. Calling it "a big f--- up!"

not my exact fave, but i liked when Sir Jackie was talking to him about being in so many shunts. Senna is pissed and just calls him 'Stewart'.

- His subtle references to God everytime.
- Driver's view from his car , thrilling & surreal.
- His iron-will and fortitude throughout the movie.

Mine would be Brazil '91 as well, though Senna's funeral had me in tears, which seldom happens to me when watching films nowadays.
