There are a few times in this movie when Adrien Brody's expressions and movements totally remind me of Jack Haley's Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz. I really like this movie, but when he's firing his gun, being macho and I'm taken to the Tin Man dancing it kind of takes me out of it.
shareFun fact, the original book the Wizard of Oz is almost as brutally violent as this movie. I actually kind of want to see a movie adaptation that is completely true to the book showing Tin Man's violent origin and seeing the Tin Man chop animal's heads off with his axe.
shareYeah. Return to Oz was a little more in the spirit of the books. I wouldn't mind a new adaptation of the stories.
