Why no sequel? Good ratings and did well financially.

Why was there never a sequel. Overall, people liked it and it did well financially.

No it broke even, it's only in Europe, Italy especially that stop it from being a flop. It still under perform at the box-office in the U.S.A. Domestically it should have double what it cost to make. Which is why Fox studio were not happy with the film, especially since they didn't want Brody as the lead.

The Predator movies have never grossed above $52 million. It's silly to think they suddenly would.

Your not taking into account inflation since the first Predator film which was made in 1987. The highest grossing film with a Predator in it would be Alien vs Predator which made $80.281.096 in the U.S. alone and $172.5 million worldwide.

Really, my only nitpick was Brody's wise, lone-wolf lines he delivered in the foreground. I couldn't help but think of Jason Patric in the flim-witgin-a-tv-show "Smokejumpers".

If such a movie barely broke even and movies like Thor, Deadpool and The Guardians of the Galaxy make billions at the box-office, I'm seriously ashamed of living in these days.

I'm perplexed at what cinema and the society have become

My ratings are not always like the IMDB average score because I only enjoy intelligent movies.

Blacks upcoming predator film is not related to 'predators' at all other than it having a predator in it.
