but didnt as the cinema is located on a nearly empty building..forced myself to sit thru 120mins of silly torture. i grow up watching jackie chan's movies and i love it. what i did not expect is this crap. the movie looks like its filmed in one take and in a rush. the humour felt so forced, and lets not go into the dialog. wanted to give this movie a ZERO rating but imdb did not allow that. gave it a 1 instead. one of the worse movie i ever watched and sad to say its coming from jackie chan.
those fight scene was ok. well, im from asia and used to seeing these kinda fight sequence. it looks normal to me. it might be awesome for western audience though.
fight scenes are pretty bad in this movie. he's showing his age and many of the stunts seem far too familiar from his previous movies. i heard this is his last "action" film and thats disappointing. i think he tried to cater to an international audience and the unfortunate result is a movie similar to the medallion, tuxedo and the myth where the scripts were all laughable in a bad way. i hope he decides to do another hk action film to redeem himself.
He is going to be 60 yo soon. Not easy to do the kind of stunts he does. And he does not use stuntmen. He does his own stunts. I don't think anyone should be expecting him to do the stunts he did during 80s-90s.
If one is dissappointed about this movie from the stunts point of view then I guess you are expecting too much from a 60 year old guy. Nothing wrong with expecting them but seriously do you think he can deliver?
I understand how some of his fans are already used to his kind of moves and stunts. So nothing much new if you don't look at other aspect of movies like storyline, plot, acting and so on.
I left the cinema after half of the movie. This movie is another important step in Chackie Chans already begun way downwards to absolute failure. Women in this movie are portrait as helpless little childs that can only scream, not think, not talk like human beings. This is the most sexist BS, karaoke movie I have ever seen. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Chan should be ashamed.
I have to disagree with you. I think the movie was great! There were lots of funny moments, actually. 9/10 for a feel-good movie.

How would you know if you dont watch the entire movie? Im assuming you missed the amazing girl fight after the sofa scene. And pls tell me, that 'not talk like human beings' part is a joke? You even called them 'little childs'. LOL
I've seen most, if not all, of his movies, growing up watching his movies and I gave it more than 5. I'll go ahead and tell you I gave it a 10. Jackie's 60. I think it's so awesome that he can do all these stuff still.
Anyway, I just wanted to point out that I gave it more than 5. lol
I'm not sure how making a script with non-funny jokes and with a dialogue filled with anti-western sentiment in any way caters to the western audience.
In fact, the content of the film appears to be more for the Asian audience. As for the humour bits, I haven't seen many humorous moments in his films since Rush Hour.
I would think that even if he made a film for HK audience, it would be on par with this one, since Jackie Chan is on a major decline not just physically but also... well, the humour/spark is simply gone^^

Saying the fight scenes were okay doesn't justify your "0 / 10" rating on the movie at all.

I had high hopes for this movie as it was a HK production and not Hollywood. But man was i wrong. Jackie seems to be going from bad to worse. And if THIS abomination is really his last action movie then that is really sad. Seems like the last great Jackie Chan movie for now is "The Shinjuku Incident".
