Not an Asian Re-make of Fincher's 2007 film

Like many, I assumed this was an Asian remake of David Fincher's 2007 masterpiece, with some singing and karate added for good measure. Needless to say, I was rather let down; not that the quality of this film is low, it is just not what I expected from the title.
