Great movie!

In the end Allah is God and God is Allah in both books!

Excellent message!

Jews, Muslims, and Christians need to understand this common ground especially now in this day and age.

Why must we fight? Peace in the middle east I say!

We are all people of the book.

Anyway, highly entertaining and funny movie.

Although I'm non-religious, I do agree with you that it was a great movie. It was funny, sweet and took a clear swipe at religious [and racial] intolerance.

reply

I definitely agree with this and I think that is partially the message the makers of this movie wanted to get out too. :)

This film is total mince, pork mince.
Pork mince, right? Jews and Muslims, pork.....go google it :-)

Man, that's funnier than anything in the film, even if I say so myself....tells you how funny the film is!!!

reply

Totally agree. One of the best movies to the subject ever. Intellectual, funny, ironical and humane.

Enjoyed it immensly.

"Great. You find out that you're Jewish and immediately some guy in a uniform takes you away!" reminded me of a similar cruel joke by Larry David in Curb Your Enthousiasm: "It's nice to finally feel attached to something German (a german sheperd dog he is petting and playing with)!"

Amiably entertaining and wryly observant.

Its that man again!!

It is a great messageā€¦ but unfortunately, a great message is not the same as being a great movie.

"Your mother puts license plates in your underwear? How do you sit?!"

I loved and and I'm not even interested in the religion message. I found it funny.

However there will never be peace in the middle east because they're living by rules of backwards desert living goat herders, with rules for the middle east 1000s of years ago.
Jesus later tried to teach that love and what's in your heart if more important than the wars and bigotry in the Old Testament. Such as when a woman was going to be stoned he said, he who is without sin cast the first stone. Then there's the Good Samaritan story where people were shocked because he helped a man who was different.
On an interesting note Omid isn't Muslim or Jewish, he's Baha'i which is about embracing all spiritual teachings.
