Uninteresting Film

The completion of any film is worthy of celebration but not necessarily worthy of an invitation to Sundance. In the end the film simply did not make us care about the characters. Asya (Elodie Bouchez) is nothing more then rich spoiled girl with the luxury to do little in life. Similarly the relatives of Asya's missing friends worry about intelligence operatives overhearing their completely innocuous conversations but do so by driving around in some of the worlds most expensive and noticeable cars complete with domestic assistants and the family livestock in tow.

I must agree with reviewer Alan Light's comments about Director Zeina Durra’s discussion after the Sundance screening. She would do well to review her performance and perhaps consider telling us less about her and more about her cast, her crew and the film. In fact I believe she was the only Director who answered every question posed herself.
