Bad bad bad acting

When I see Christian movies I immediately accept the fact that the acting will be bad. I understand you cannot get great actors for movies centered around God but this movie was worse than others. It sounded like they were just reading lines no heart behind it and it was very unbelievable. Movie had a good plot line just was too unbelievable. Even though I do feel like the coach who doesn't want to coach story line is over played.(League Of Our Own, Bad News Bears, etc..)

Overall a 3 out 10

the Christian part of the movie was pretty minimal. The bad acting was not though! I felt the main problem was Jimmy Easton, the rest where not all that bad.

I agree it was horrible. The only Christian movie I kind of liked was that football Giants movie. That was bad acting. This was worse.

Hmmmmmm ... I dunno, I didn't think it was that bad. My worst problem with the movie was the *spoiler* accidents that kept picking people off conveniently when it seemed it might help the plot line along, which seemed a little lazy to me. The lead guy did look a bit like a cleaned-up Zach Galifianakis, sorry guy ... well, Zach's not that bad-looking just has that comic rep that makes you not able to see him as anything but funny. It is possible the lead guy in this movie wasn't fully behind the script. I like Christian movies but unfortunately at least right now they seem to be kind of soupy. And if a committed Christian actor tries to play a bad guy who eventually gets redeemed it's kind of hard to watch him trying to be something you just know he's not. That wasn't the case here but has a tendency to make me turn off a movie before it really gets started.

I came to comment on the same thing. This is playing in the background for a sick kid. When I realized this was a "movie" and not an after school special, I could not believe it. The actors all deliver their lines as if they are a bunch of terrified third graders performing their first play ever. It is heavy handed and ridiculous...and I am a Christian!

FIVE Comments ARE PRETTY HARSH AND NOT VERY NICE. I am glad that God sent me here. I purchased this movie online and the more I see it, the more I LIKE IT. As far as the acting: ACTING is TOUGH. Put yourselves in these guys positions, you're standing in front of cameras and crew, maybe it's your first time acting, stress and the eyes are on you. ACTING is DIFFICULT. Y'all don't get that or never gave it any thought. I went to a few plays where my kids participated and the acting needed much work but they tried. I seen stage plays with older kids (teenagers) pretty much the same, even adult broadway plays isn't that great. Besides that, Pureflix Entertainment budget on this movie was only $100,000. I liked who played Jimmy Easton, his acting was just fine. Y'all 5 are just expecting too much. I am greatly disappointed in the ones that call themselves CHRISTIANS. God says we are to encourage one another. Pureflix owner is a Christian, so encourage him, he did his best. His heart was in the right place and the MESSAGE is what was IMPORTANT, anyway. I am a born again Baptist and a firm believer of Jesus' teachings: Matthew 1:18 through Jude (New Testament). God gives us instruction through these scriptures and shows us how to act towards one another (in love).

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Colossians 3:12-14
