What is this show
and why haven't I seen it? God I wish I had BBC America......
shareIt's a 6 part documentary with new interviews chronicling the life of Python to commemorate their 40th anniversary. And it's not on BBC America in the states. It's on IFC.
shareWhat's IFC?
shareIFC is a channel where they show independent movies and shows uncut.Phew good thing I have IFC I'm loving this documentary.
shareNever heard of it. Do you have cable or is it on Dish Network or something?
shareI have Dish Network actually
shareDo you live in the States? I have Blue Ridge cable and I don't understand why Comedy Central or something other channel wouldn't show it. I'm seriously pissed.
I live across the pond, in the states. IFC had a Python week, with 1 of the 6 parts of the mini-series. Followed by one of their movies, then 1 of the episodes of the TV show.
So, to reiterate, it was shown on IFC during October. I recorded it, and am just getting around to seeing it.
It's also showing this upcoming weekend, Oct. 24th 09 for 3 evenings
on Bravo Canada. It appears that they're showing the entire
498 minutes of it!!
lb
498 minutes? Is there more than the six 1 hr episodes I recorded on IFC? Uh oh! Help!

The IFC Monty Python documentary has begun showing up on Comcast On Demand. There's also a 25-minute "The Making of..." feature which reveals that one of the producers is Terry Jones' son Bill.
shareI have a 10 minute "The Making of" show - still doesn't add up to 498. :(
Oh well, still great!

25 minutes? The "Obligatory 'Making Of' Special" on the iTunes store is only 9 minutes. Is it on the Blu-ray? Doesn't seem to be on the DVD... not even the 9-minute version.
I just rented all three discs from Netflix. I never knew it aired on TV until I saw this thread.
shareOP, if you still haven't been able to see it on TV, it will be out on DVD tomorrow. I plan on going out and getting it as soon as I wake up.
