It's Just a Show

There are jokes made at the expense of every race and culture in this world whether it's on a tv show, movie or in someone stand-up routine. If the show was really racist toward white people it wouldn't have aired on Lifetime. I've watched the show and it's just like every other show, where they always have a race joke somewhere in there. The show is not about taking white people down and making them feel low. Yes, there alot of interracial relationships in the world but when your in a same race marriage, your significant other sleep with a person outside of your race, you might not just say "that woman" your going to call her race out too, it's natural to do that. The show isn't the best show in the world but it's not racist. It's interesting though, white people get upset because black people are sensitive and always crying out "racism" but two jokes on this show that has been told too many times in different shows and movies, now you want to cry racism. Sad people. If you don't like the show, don't want, if you do, just watch. If you love to hate this show and still watch, by all means, watch. But the show isn't racist, i could see your point, if it was nothing but a bunch of black women and all they did was rag on white people but that isn't the case.

That just about sums it up.

Honestly, those jokes aren't out there nearly as much as negative depictions of minorities are in shows/movies. It appears this crowd doesn't join the outcry in those cases, and those things are really, truly negative and stereotypical. In this case, the girl the husband slept with was young, and white. Just a fact. If this were a show of all white women, then girl would be the "YOUNG" girl the husband slept with. Just a fact. If that's wrong to say in a movie (happens in a load of Lifetime movies) then write on all those boards about the most age-discriminating movies and shows EVER. I know, no one will do that. But seriously, was any stereotype attached to this girl for being white? No. Was she criticized for her European features? No. Was she connected to any particular social niche based on her skin color? No. The minorities almost always are. Stand up for true character assassination, say, when the jokes and comments about hispanics and blacks are made. Not the facts, but the real racism.
