Season/ scenery continuity

Just finished watching tonight's episode (12-8-09) about the goth Jane Doe. Did anyone else notice that the season of the scenery in the scenes didn't seem to match each other? In the Chicago shots there was cold with snow flurries and generally seemed drab. Then in the scenes in the state where the girl was from (Ohio? Iowa?) the grass and trees were lush and very green? I know our weather out here in the Chicago area changes from moment to moment, and that the girl lived in another state, however the weather between midwestern states out here doesn't change that much. It just bothered me.

There are establishing shots of Chicago, but the show is shot in Los Angeles. Kind of hard to match up winter scenes unless they go up into the mountains or spend a lot of money dressing the area with chipped ice or fake snow...
