Lindsey's Departure

I loved this show a lot, it was one of the few crime dramas I found watchable. I remember missing a few and then watching it with Elisha Cuthbert and wondering what happened to Lindsey, played by Heather Stephens. Did they give a reasoning for her departure?

At the end of episode 13 ("Mama Jane"), Alex drops by Lindsey's place and finds her packing everything in boxes. She explains that she's taken a new job at a high school in Pennsylvania as head of the science department.
