The Texas 7 episode...

Just watched this one over the weekend and was curious why some key facts were left out.

1. They actually did kill one of guards/supervisors during the initial escape.

2. The officer in Irving (Aubrey Hawkins) was most likely outside of his patrol car when killed, as they ran him over at one point. His death scene was shown as being killed while still in his patrol car.

I hope these weren't excluded in an attempt to paint the escapees in a more sympathetic light. Other than the above, it was an engaging episode. I live in North Dallas and remember the atmosphere when people found out they were in our area.

I am familier with this case, not with just a curiosity.

So I have to correct. No one died in initial escape.
Maybe there's mixup as two of them is in prison for Murder.(Joseph Garcia and Michael Rodriguez)

For Officer Hawkins,I don't know where actually he was.It varies from testimony,
one person was not there, and had to testify what he heard from other people.(Lookout and getaway driver who was at Other side of building)

I want to avoid writing a detail on IMDB,but "fatality on escape" is 100% wrong.

And,The car 6 of them were riding accidentally (according to legal document) run over officer Hawkins.Yes,he was outside then.because they paniclly drag him out from Patrol Car.I avoid to write who's who,one tried to pull him out of car not realizing he was still wearing seat belt.(seems to be he was inside the car.I correct my former post)
Another one point out it,and they drag him out,

(Mostly from Legal papers)

Okay,Now I watched Texas 7 episode and knew only Patrick Murphy is on this episode.
It makes officer Hawkins' murder scene on this episode
burr, because Patrick Murphy was other side of building and communicated with rest of them with Walkie-Talkie.He heard what happened from others at the pick up spot on nearby apartment complex.Murphy didn't know where and how the shooting happened.
So,on this episode, only Authoritys are talking about Chrismas eve's robbery.

Also,Randy Halprin's gun wasn't fired,as well as Murphy.

Sorry for lots of post.

I remembered, one police officer died by motercycle accident while searching Texas Seven.I don't remember clearly,I think the officer was in Colorado, and had a single motercycle accident.

He was only other fatality.

"serious incident review"by TDCJ reported what Item was storen from each CO and civirian worker, this detailed report never said there was very serious injured person on initial escape.

I talked too much! :)

Another reply...

Still,I'm so sorry for you for living the area and must be so terrified.
But your post shows how media went wrong in Dallas area, and those who didn't request (by trial lawyer)Change of venue couldn't get fair trial.

I know,sorry,this post doesn't fit for IMDB :(

Thanks for the clarifications. Some of the information out there on this case is apparently wrong.

De-illusionist, whatever happened to the ones on the outside who helped in their escape?

Outside help was one member's father.(the member was executed)
He got prison sentence.I think he is released by now.
I hope the father will not blamed as he done his time and suffered a lot.

reply

I correct.Another outside help,member's father's former employee,got a probation.So I'm not sure for father(Trying not to say who's father,but not Murphy's.)too.

I mistaken where I reply.(was posted from iPhone)
