This show is REVOLTING!

Any show that would glamorize murderers and thieves is disgusting. I just began watching the one about the video rental guy who shot a man in cold blood and they were interviewing him and he had NO REMORSE at all. He simply stated he forgot about even doing it. What about these victims families? This is the lowest form of tv I have ever watched. I hope the producers of this show are never faced to have to deal with what some of the families of the victims have gone through. NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!! DISGUSTING!

This show is not called "Happy Rainbow Fairy Land". If you want to watch those kind of shows, watch the Disney Channel. The people who watch this show LIKE crime shows, and it's their preference, not yours.

Grow up. There are people out there that have no remorse. They exist. I'm suprised you took the time to complain about it on a board.

reply

I don't think he was complaining about bad people having no remorse, he was upset about criminals with no remorse being glamorized and praised on television.

What do you mean? Who lies on the show? The criminals or the storyteller or what?

reply

But try to think of it from the filmmaker's perspective. This a show about the criminal's life on the lam. NOT about his horrendous initial crime. From a narrative point of view, introducing those elements actually diverts the show's story arc AWAY from the point of the episode. The show's creators aren't making LIGHT of the horrific nature of the crimes, but the show IS about the fugitive on the run and what decisions they made which got them eventually caught. THAT is the story on display here, not the historical background of the crime.

Really well said... if he doesn't get it after reading your post there's no point in continuing this conversation.

Well, I think this show is very interesting. It's interesting to hear from the criminals themselves. I know he had no remorse and was disgusting monster, but it's interesting to find out why they cause so horrible crimes.

reply

lol.. the episode where the guy hides out in the swamp, he finds a fruit stand and a pickup. Since no one is around, he figures the apples must be free and eats one. He decides to get in the truck "to get warm", then flips down the sun visor "to block the sun", and magically the keys to the truck fall into his open hand. He can't believe his good fortune, so for no other reason he drives off with the stolen truck.

This show is so intriguing. Brilliant from a filmmaker's pov because it highlights what goes on in the criminals mind (much more accurate than Criminal Minds though). If you don't like shows like this then don't watch the I'D channel...

The cases about the husbands that shot thier wives. They really don't explain what went on in thier heads when they did the evil deed. That does bug me.When they interview them it like"ho hum".

reply

I have to say, I'm not a fan of the husband wife murders. Or really, anyone that murders someone they know. It's a little sick. But then they get caught at the end and you are happy.

On another note, thank god that video store guy got caught. God, I feel safer now that that nut was off the streets. Who is he to think that he can make an honest living and live the rest of his life without committing another crime?

Yeah, that did kinda suck. But just imagine if you were the family of the guy who was killed. It just doesn't seem fair to murder an innocent man and go on with your life like nothing happened. Justice must be served, etc.

That one was kinda like the Texas guy who became a car salesman and was doing fine, but was finally caught after years of living a good life. Luckily for him, a bunch of people testified to his character and he didn't have to serve any more time. But then, he didn't kill anyone, either...

you cant explain this show to the OP smh

there are much.grimier shows on tv then this. I think it goes to show no matter how smart we think we are and how we could do better than these people and not make the same mistakes, and even then, the laws are going to stay on it and keep hunting you down
