Don't get your hopes up...

I have never seen anything produced for Syfy (previously SciFi) that was worth watching — it seems that they specialize in stupidity, banality, semi-literate scripts, and ham acting. The Farmer novels were, like almost everything he wrote, literate, inventive, and a good deal of fun. I'd suggest reading them, if only to see how good the concept was.

I saw the 2003 pilot, which was awful. I suppose I'll give the new attempt a try, even though Syfy's specialization in disaster movies seems to have led to all their movies turning out to be disasters.

Sci Fi's made a few really good Series and films, they just cancel them way too quickly... The Triangle, The Lost Room had serious potential for its own series, Farscape, The Invisible Man, Stargate SG-1 (formerly on Showtime), Tripping the Rift.

Farscape, Stargate and The Invisible man had all pretty long runs, The Invisible Man the least of course.

Stargate could have been finished earlier imo.

Besides Farscape isn't SciFi channel's show.

Stargate SG-1 should have went on longer. there were 1,000's of stargate's yet they only did what 220ish episodes

SyFy has good series but terrible movies!!! because they buy the series but the movies they have to afford the production themselves...
