Deklin as Twain


I love this character in Farmer's books, and Deklin's a perfect choice to play him. Very excited to see this.

He definitely has the "right" sensibility, and then some. I've had the pleasure of seeing him perform in a number of plays here in New York over the years, and he's brought vulnerability, charm, intelligence, depth, and humor to every role I've ever seen him in.
(I confess to never having read Farmer's books, but I've read Twain's books, and if the fictional Samuel Clemens is anything like the historical Samuel Clemens, these are the qualities you want in the actor playing him.)

It's too bad he was actually terrible. The whole cast displayed the acting prowess typical of a stoned high school play.

Seeing as you are 1 in 1000 thinking Mark Deklin wasn't good, it's safe to say you are utterly wrong.

Mark Deklin was amazing in this movie, regardless of what you thought of the movie.
