Fascinating insight

I enjoy watching boxing but i'm hardly a fanatic. I grew up in the era Ali became "the greatest" and knew of most of the boxers highlighted in this film.

I wasnt sure if id enjoy the movie but I found it fascinating and a wonderful insight into boxers and the sport itself. I expected to find a film about Ali but essentially it is about the men who fought him, their background and their feelings about the sport that dominated their lives as well as their encounter/s with the most charasmatic, influential and possibly best heavyweight boxer of all time.

I loved how some of these guys, some of who have not aged well, still recall the punches they threw in those fights 30-40 years ago and still enjoyed shadow boxing to the cameras. You can see how much they would love to still be in the ring if only their bodies would allow it.

A terrific doco/movie. I took the DVD back to the hire shop and re-hired it immediately so I could take it round to my 80 yr old Dads place for him to watch.
