First off, best B comedy movie I've seen this year. If your expecting an Oscar worthy comedy, it's not quite that good, but you won't be disappointed. The cast did a fantastic job and for a low budget movie the writing was great. There was never a dull moment from beginning to end and it's filled with the kind of heart that's become very rare these days. Worth the price of admission and much more!
Really? This movie is awful. Did the people involved in this movie go to high school? There are no jokes in this script. None. Ergo, it can't be considered a comedy. I'm not really sure what it is, beyond a complete turd.
The worst part of this movie, script, and idea was the 'baby seal hunting' scene. Who in the hell thought there was any humor there?
Like I said its a B movie/straight to home video movie. You're expectations are way too high and again it's not Oscar worthy but a great find once you've gotten though all the A list movies and are waiting for the summer blockbusters to be released on Blu-Ray (like me).
No. Just no. You can't say that you absolutely loved this movie unless you're married to one of the lead actors, directors, or writers involved. It should not be watched. It should not be available on-demand. It is a mindless, soulless manifestation of the lack of discretion put into financing films. I didn't go into this film expecting Citizen Kane, or even a bad 1980s teen romcom, but this film was worse than Chairman of the Board. The dialog was feces, the jokes were dung, the gags were excrement. My expectations of low-budget comedies are that, if you're going to bother making it, be sure to have run the script by a few people first to make sure that some of the jokes are humorous. I didn't expect to love this movie, but I also didn't expect to hate it as much as I did. I really hated this movie. I don't like Tyler Perry's comedy, but I don't hate it. I hated this comedy. I hope that this film ends Brandt, Severin and Breziner's careers in show business, because they have no business being in this line of work.
On iTunes, I imagine it says "If you loved The Secret Lives of Dorks (2013), you might also like The Room (2003)." The fact that this was filmed in 2009 is indication that some of the people involved were unwilling to throw away more money getting this thing in the can. They should've cut their losses rather than release this hemorrhoid of a film.
