The last interview flashback

After Johnny acts coldly to visit of the little girl, we can see someone making comment about this - something that the child sees things in black and white... not important anyway. But I am wondering to whom is that person speaking to? If the prison interview was one contentious action (and we have no reason to believe not to), then such comment could be made only after the interview... but then the journalist was dead. Someone else then?

if you think about it the whole opening and ending happened the day after also. I'm thinking this is meant to be a pseudo doco that has been put together after the events of the film. So I guess he was talking to the producer or the replacement interviewer... I think from memory there are one or two other small interviews where you don't see the interviewer.
