Excellent Documentary
A very nicely packaged and well conceived production. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this, never becoming bored once like with so many other documentaries out there.

shareI totally agree ! I just watched it on SHO and found it to be fascinating! Excellent job by the director and I especially enjoyed the wrap up at the end where you find out what happened to the people in the documentary
shareDefinitely thumbs up , enjoyed all the interviews , history and realness of the players . These kinds of club environements were where the creative energies gathered & flew , but only a matter of time where the thought & cultural "man" police moved in . Especially having the hip hop night ,they just couldnt have that many blacks in such a nice upscale taxpaying neighbrhood .
Really liked the ending before credits , panning out from spaceship earth the music still playing , very effective as always .
"Want to know how to make God Laugh? Tell Her your plans...."
I agree. I loved every moment of it. I'm a little bummed out that we didn't hear much of James St. James or bigger name people in the club scene--but it was still a great watch.
"I'll go,because I am Cinema!" - Ben (Man Bites Dog)
I agree, I loved it too. My only complaint was the music. Not the real stuff from the time but the music made for the documentary. I just found it kind of dull and uninspiring.
