First question popped up when a gun that might have sold for 2 or 3 thousand suddenly is supposed to be a 9 thousand dollar gun... Not that 9,000 dollar guns don't exist, but they wouldn't be a mildly modified AR-15... but what really just screamed what the fuck was the bit where Debra pulls a bullet from her stomach. Okay it makes sense to pull out since she was shot there in the previous season... but why would she pull an unfired bullet still in the cartridge from her bullet wound? And why would they use it again when she tries to make Dexter eat it? Dexter has been around bullet and guns long enough not to have delusions unfired bullets being pulled from bullet wounds.

It’s Hollywood liberal writers who know nothing about guns. When the guy went to buy the gun, dexter said “that’s a bit more powerful than what ya need for the animals out here”, when in reality it was probably the smallest caliber rifle on that wall. It’s this weird anti AR-15 brainwashing that makes stuff like this stand out so clearly to anyone who is the slightest bit knowledgeable. Also, no AR-15 is $9000 🤣. Maybe some one of kind type thing that is gold plated, but not in a tiny outdoors shop lol. I’m surprised they even had the background check in the show.

I agree, to get into the 9000 dollar range for a semi-automatic rifle you are pretty much talking Barrett 82A's which that clearly wasn't. I don't think you could get AR to that price level with gold plating, it would probably require you to add FLIR optics to it.

And if that wasn't enough, the AR is clearly a .223/5.56 gun but the bullet they pull from the White buck is a 7mm rem mag.

It shouldn't be that hard to get someone with at least basic knowledge of firearms to assist in a production but apparently it is.

You would think that on a set where they are using real guns they would want someone with some basic understanding of guns unless their plan is to have another Baldwin happen.
