What does G.M.O sand for???

Thinking it's something like Genetically Modified Organism but aint 100%. Anyone know?

reply

Probably that, nothing is really explained in the movie. So I guess you can assume that GMO's caused people to mutate into zombies....?

reply

In the movie Bill says that the virus was a GMO for plants and had an emergency shut-off. Unfortunately it mutated enough to invalidate the shut-off and started affecting more than just plants.

reply

Yeah, Genetically Modified Organisms.

Unintentionally comic factoid: the evil biotech company responsible for all this
is called "Toonsman Industries" - an anagram of Monsanto (a truly evil empire).

Also, the product responsible is called "Ranch Hand", a not-so-subtle reference
to Round-Up, Monsanto's chief (evil) 'agricultural' product.

The movie was meh, but I sorta enjoyed it. I did like the zombie mutation concept, though.
The girl with no eyes and the warning scream was especially creepy, to me.

Anti-GMO activists are STUPID and there's no evidence of Monsanto being evil.
And for the record, neither is Round-Up.
Well, Zombi, that's just my opinion. I don't particularly consider myself stupid.
I just prefer to know what I'm eating, as much as possible.

At the very least, GMO foods should be labelled as such, for those of us who
are 'stupid' enough to at least want to know what's in our food.

As for evidence of Monsanto and Round-up being 'evil' - there's plenty enough proof
of that, and no, I am not going to post myriad links to scientific studies or research, etc.

You have your beliefs and you are most certainly entitled to them, as I am entitled to mine.
Oh, and you can add the fact that I'm vegan to any future insults. 

Right. Because NONE EXIST.
Whatever. I don't want to argue with you personally.
I simply prefer to not ingest genetically modified food items.

Me being vegan has nothing to do with my avoidance of GMO foods, or vice versa.
I just figured that someone with your beliefs would also find veganism suspect.

Anyway, good night and good luck. 

you are the stupid one ! f#*k monsatano' and their poison products! they are a chemical company not a food company, so think about that for a minute. When under patent law you can not patent plants period, but they did just that with their mutant FU genetics. It also has been proven their crops DONT yield anymore than natural hybrids.
Their round up is directly responsible for birth defects all over the planet. they're killing bees with their chemicals, also killing all small water left like minnows and crawfish and hundreds of other insects species. and everyone who eats food has traces of roundup in their blood or urine. you drink pop? its full of GMO sweeteners which contain roundup!
And their is plenty of proof for everything i mentioned. they threatened the guy who done studies on their corn on rats and made him retract his statements. but then he republished it say FU monsatano' ! It shows at 60-90 days all subject grew cancerous tumors at a rapid rate. And you ever wonder why the cancer rates in the US alone have went up 100x in the last 10 years?? And I wont be surprised when theirs a class action lawsuit with millions of people suing monsantano' and those other poison chemical factories for poisoning and causing autism.

So tell me, how is their toxic poisons are safe?

ps: the truth doesnt care whether you believe it or not

Yes, according to the producers, it's for Genetically Modified Organisms, as seen here: http://www.cinema-ergo-sum.com/public_en/Extinction_pag_20100204T170420389.aspx

Brothers n Sistas ... I hate to crash the party so late ... BUT.
In this context GMO obviously means .... 'G-ood only as runners, M-orons, O-perating barely understood film equipment to no good purpose' .... Snappy huh ... more to the point highly accurate description of the crews efforts.

Keep it real folks

Snappy, no. Stupid, yes. Go out and make your own movie. When you do I will make sure I call it trash and critique you on the camera work. Stick to what you're good at, nothing.
